Last month I went to Dutch Comic Con. It was the first time I went to this event, and I was happy I could finally go! I’ve been wanting to go to this event for 2 years, but for some reason I kept forgetting all about the dates ?
The location was big enough to walk around for hours, especially because it was so crowded! We’ve spend a good few hours just walking around in the Dealers Den, where you can buy all kinds of arts and merchandise. And everywhere you looked, you could see a lot of amazing cosplayers. Unfortunately I didn’t really make any photo’s of them, which is such a bummer. But alas, nothing I can do about it right now.
I mainly wanted to go there and buy some art. And that’s exactly what I’ve done ♥ In this post I will show you my few purchases.
Above are 3 prints from the artist Cyarin. I’ve been following her for quite some time on several social media sites. I instantly fell in love with her art, when I came across it on Instagram. It was nice to also meet her in person fir the first time, she’s a really sweet person! She had so many lovely art prints; it was hard to pick a few. I bought the middle print for my fiancé, who insisted I should pick that one as well haha.

Next two art prints are from Studio Appeltjesgroen. I think her artstyle is very adorable, and just like Cyarine, I was also following her for a while on Instagram.
I already knew what I wanted to buy, which are these two prints. One of a drawing piggy, and one of the game ‘Life is Strange’. I truly love that game, it has such a good (and emotional) story. I recommend playing this game! As I was standing in front of her stand and looking at all the goodies, she said she recognised me from Instagram. I was a little surprised anyone would recognise me, but it was nice to hear, also because I always try to comment on her posts. I love to give positive comments to artists, hoping it will give them motivation to continue what they’re doing. It was nice to have met her, as she was also very kind ☺ She gave me a flyer which had a discount on it, for a future purchase, and I’m sure I’m going to use it, because I’ve seen a few things I’d like to have.

Next one is this cute sticker and button I bought from Teatales. Funfact: we bought two comics from them in the past, years ago, which we still have. And I recognised the little panda on the button right away and said to my fiancé “Omg, remember them?? it’s been years!” Of course I didn’t dare to say this to the artist herself, because I was too shy, but I wish I had. I bought the button for myself, and the sticker for my fiancé, who was eyeing on it right away. The artist was very sweet, and also gave the two prints/cards and the little blue chick.

Next up are some stickers! Who could possibly resist such a cute Darth Vader sticker? Once again, I had a hard time to pick some stickers out of the big box of different ones. You could pick 6 stickers for a good price. The Star Wars stickers and No-face are for myself, the two girls are for my fiancé, who loves Miku Hatsune. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the artist, because I completely forgot to look for busniess cards ?
If anyone knows, please let me know!
And last but not least, I also bought a patch! It’s a Deathheads moth, I love it! ♥
I can’t wait to use it, but I’m not sure where I’m going to put it.
I also got some more business cards of cool artists. You can check their website’s down below.
